June 11, 2016

This morning we drove over to Pilot Butte, which is right in town. John hiked to the top and back. Then we drove up.
Several scenes from the top.

There was a guy soaring around in the sky above the butte.
A park along the Deschutes River.
We had a delicious lunch here in the Old Mill District.
Robert Sawyer State Park.

John checked out a couple more hikes in the Newberry Volcanic area in the afternoon. This evening we had dinner with Wes and Theresa. At 9:00 p.m. we had a meeting where Patty told us the plan for hiking Smith Rock State Park tomorrow morning.
