June 7, 2016

Finally, got moving at 8:00 a.m. today, an hour later than yesterday. A beautiful day to travel.
Passed a truck that had 4 enormous tires on the bed. Not sure what kind of vehicle they fit.
Approaching Denver.
Downtown Denver. Traffic was heavy.

The beautiful Rockies.
One of the old mines.
A controlled burn near Empire. A flashing sign said Do Not Call 911.
Scenic wherever we looked.
Some snow even at lower elevations.

Second tunnel of the day.
Dillon Reservoir near Frisco.

A little while before this scene, we saw a sign that said Runaway truck ramp occupied.
Vail area.

Colorado River Canyon.
Sculpture?
Rain clouds.
Utah
Approaching Green River.
Dinner at Tamarisk.

The restaurant is located right next to the Green River, which looked high because of all the snow melt.
It is right across from the John Wesley Powell Museum, which is excellent if you ever have occasion to be in Green River.

Spending the night at the Quality Inn in Price, Utah.
